truWest Sublimation Swimwear Process

The sublimation dying process utilizes very precise heat and pressure to impregnate specialized dyes into a white fabric substrate. This process is superior to silk screening because the dyes are actually fused into the fibers of the fabric instead of simply being painted on top. This eliminates the cracking and peeling associated with screen printing.

There are two main costs involved in this process:

1. Dye Cost -The cost to actually sublimate an entire suit design into the fabric. This cost is fixed and is $12 for a male suit and $20 for a female suit. This cost is added to the quantity price break price of the suit style you select.

2. Design Cost - The cost to create the image or design that is to be used to produce printed fabric for the suit. This cost varies depending on the complexity of the artwork supplied and effort required for truWest to modify the artwork to make it usable if it has not been provided in the proper format.

Customers providing designs in the EPS vectored format and require no additional modifications by truWest, will not incur a design charge. Repeat orders do not incur a design charge because the design is already complete.

Customers providing any other artwork, or no artwork at all, will incur a design set-up charge. This charge is determined by the amount of time required to create or convert the artwork into the EPS vector format suitable for sublimation equipment.

Art charges are billed in blocks of 15 minutes at a rate of $20 per block.

To add a team name or logo to any existing design, a $25 1-time set-up charge applies for each name or logo that will appear on all suits in the order. There is no set-up charge for repeat orders.

Individual name drops (different on each suit) are $5 per name.

To avoid any artwork design set-up charges, please submit your artwork in the EPS vector format. truWest uses the application Adobe Illustrator version CS2 so your graphic must be able to be opened using this application and be in the correct format to avoid entirely or reduce any art charges. It is recommended to have each color in its own layer so color changes can be cost effectively changed. Text should be in its own layer and converted to be an outline because we may not have the same cool font you used in your design.

Modifications to existing designs incur the least artwork design charges. See some of our most popular existing designs here.
