If a response to your query comes from a producer or production company executive it could be a day, a week or longer.  It’s not unusual to have someone respond months later.  

And if you get no response, wait a couple of months, maybe retool your logline and query then send it again.

There are none - never was, never will be.  You know that but we need to say it.  All IndieProducersDirectory.com can do is work to keep the directory of independent film production companies and producers up-to-date and offer you services we believe will help you make your best presentation. 

WHEN DOES MY EMAIL & FAX QUERY GET SENT?             

We try to get Emails and Faxes out within hours of receipt of your final submission and subscription – all things considered.  We glance at your final submission to make certain the merge is correct then send it on.

REGULAR MAIL ATTACHMENTS: 

If you send a query letter by regular post, send a short and well written query letter with a strong logline only.  It is not professional to send a script or any other material at all.   We strongly recommend against it. 

LISTING YOUR COMPANY ON IPD:

If your company would like to be listed on IndieProducersDirectory.com, please send us an email at: directory@indieproducersdirectory.com.   Submissions are subject to approval.

SUBMIT THROUGH REP:

Means the company wants film project submissions made through an attorney, agent, manager or someone with a relationship at the production company who will take the submission.  Independent production companies change submission policies from open submission of a query letter to submit through rep.  That’s not to say a company with a “submit through rep” policy won’t read the right submission – rep or not.
